A level 2 charger is a specific type of charger you can connect to an outlet to charge your electric vehicle; it requires a 240 volt and 40 amp circuit and fully charges vehicles after three to eight hours. However, they seem to be outliving their usefulness. Many rural level 2 charging stations are dying because drivers literally go the extra mile and make the trip to level 3 charging stations, which fully charge vehicles in less than an hour.
