It’s sad to think that 2022 marks fifty years since the last Apollo mission sent men to the Moon. However, this year may also be remembered for the success of NASA’s Artemis 1 mission, which tested the Space Launch System rocket topped by an Orion capsule and splashed down after a trip around the Moon. This could mark the beginning of humanity’s return to our nearest neighbor, and the end of the long delay in space exploration and the race to beat China to become the dominant global space power.
