The Attacus atlas butterfly, despite its large size and snake-head-like wing patterns, is quite harmless. It would rather not do anything but the bare minimum needed to pass on its genes. You see, once it metamorphoses from a larva, it loses its mouth, meaning it cannot feed. So, it eats and eats in its larval stage to store as much energy as possible.
