“The carbon footprint is enormous.” Host countries spend millions of dollars and hours of labour building Olympic cities and shuttling athletes, often contributing more than a million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Because of this, there has been some push to create a permanent Olympic City to reduce the gigantic toll on the environment every time the Olympics come around. However, unless the International Olympic Committee agrees to it, it is unlikely to come to fruition.

Overcoming Bias
Kai Cheng’s professor had a brilliant scheme. In his first lecture, he promised that each lecture would feature a “Lie of the Day”. But why? It made his students more attentive and analytical, poring over every detail of his lecture and making sense of why things were true.
