Something fishy is going on in America’s Klamath River—not even the fish like it. Many living conditions are threatening the lives and existence of chinook salmon in the river. Factors such as water temperature and dangerous algae have been so severe that quick and easy solutions wouldn’t make the cut in saving the wildlife. Scientists determined that several dams are the reason why there are so many anomalies in the water. So, four of the river’s seven dams are to be removed by October 2024 as a solution. The First Solar-Powered Car Comes at a Hot Price
The Lightyear O is a revolutionary electric car powered by the sun. Developed by a Dutch startup, the four-door sedan has over 50 square feet of solar panels on its roof and hood, generating up to 43 miles of energy a day. With production now underway in Finland, the car does come with a hefty price tag at $262,000, but the company hopes to introduce a more affordable version, the Lightyear 2, by 2025.
