This newly-funded project by the University of Delaware’s College of Engineering aims to improve post-stroke rehabilitation with the help of robotic exoskeleton devices and advanced modelling techniques. This innovative approach will enable researchers to tailor exactly what the robot will do during therapy and lead to better outcomes for the patient. With the help of a unique variable-stiffness treadmill, the team are able to deliver very precise interventions to help patients do the specific, repetitive motions they need during the rehabilitation process, pushing the field forward.
