Although Leonardo da Vinci had no children, his lineage continues on through his many half-siblings’ descendants. The 14 surviving relatives (determined through extensive analysis of his family tree) may be key to determining if the remains buried at Chapel of Saint-Hubert are actually those of the scholar. Although it’s unlikely to be carried out, scientists hope to do this by comparing the Y chromosome of the bones with that of the descendants’, as it’s relatively unchanged when passed down from father to son. Overcoming Bias
Kai Cheng’s professor had a brilliant scheme. In his first lecture, he promised that each lecture would feature a “Lie of the Day”. But why? It made his students more attentive and analytical, poring over every detail of his lecture and making sense of why things were true. It was such a powerful teaching method that his students digested his most technical lectures quite easily because they tried so hard to catch his lie. The kicker?
