Female octopuses will chuck seashells at males who irk them

Octopi are mostly solitary animals, but they’re also remarkably intelligent and find novel ways to interact with each other. Scientists observed a group of ten octopi for 24 hours and caught more than 100 instances of them throwing things at each other. Their limbs have a siphon that can collect and launch debris underwater, but they’re intelligent enough to adapt it to conditions on land to be able to throw objects. Besides the insight this provides to octopus intelligence, it’s funny to find that the behaviour is also gendered. 66 of the throws were females throwing rocks at males that were bothering them. Lawsuit Claims Microwave Mac and Cheese Takes Too Long

Kraft Heinz is facing a new lawsuit from a Florida woman claiming that their microwavable Velveeta Shells and Cheese cups do not actually take only 3.5 minutes to prepare, as advertised. Lead plaintiff Amanda Ramirez’s lawsuit alleges that the four steps required to prepare the meal means that it takes longer than 3.5 minutes, and has asked for at least $5 million in punitive damages.
