Standpoint epistemology is the philosophical framework that says a person’s viewpoint is shaped by who they are and where they are. This framework implies that different viewpoints are necessary to uncover the truth. But Justin McBrayer believes that if we continue moving closer to the idea of multiple truths—like my truth and yours—standpoint epistemology will become useless. There would be no point in listening to different perspectives if there’s no singular truth to be uncovered; we can dismiss other people’s perspectives as their truth, irrelevant to ours. The Lightyear O is a revolutionary electric car powered by the sun. Developed by a Dutch startup, the four-door sedan has over 50 square feet of solar panels on its roof and hood, generating up to 43 miles of energy a day.
