Being an outsider to Japan, Anshul Chauhan can comment more freely on the stranger aspects of their culture in his films. In Kontora, his second film, the protagonist is a highschool student who becomes interested in tracing her late grandfather’s history in the military after finding his diary. Overcoming Bias
Kai Cheng’s professor had a brilliant scheme. In his first lecture, he promised that each lecture would feature a “Lie of the Day”. But why? It made his students more attentive and analytical, poring over every detail of his lecture and making sense of why things were true.
