American lobsters can hear with their hair

Despite their lack of ears, lobsters can supposedly hear sounds at frequencies lower than what the human ear can pick up. Researchers have discovered that American lobsters can detect sound through the hair on the outside of their exoskeletons. But amidst the excitement lies worry; man-made noises rest comfortably within the range of frequencies they can hear, bringing up concerns of noise pollution affecting their behaviour, like feeding and mating.
