AI has already infiltrated society, and it’s not always a good thing. A series of experiments have revealed that AI was able to pinpoint people’s vulnerabilities in decision making and then exploit these vulnerabilities with astonishing success. In one experiment, the AI analyzed how people choose between two options, and then used their preferences to guide participants toward a certain outcome with a 70 percent success rate.
